All our staff are qualified and experienced childcare professionals who have been appointed through a robust vetting, recruitment and induction process. This includes an enhanced DBS check. Our staff are all trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene. We offer many additional training opportunities to our staff to ensure they remain up to date with all current practices and legislation. There is a full programme of professional development to build our staff’s knowledge and teaching skills to promote the highest quality of education for all children.
Sarah is qualified at Level 5 in Management and at Level 4 in Childcare & Education. She has 26 years’ experience of working in early years and has been manager at Rowlands Avenue since 2012. Sarah is also the setting’s SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Officer.
Helen is qualified at Level 4 in Childcare & Education. She has been working in early years since 2005.
Emma is qualified at Level 3 in Childcare & Education. She has been working in early years since 2012.
Emma is qualified at Level 2 in Childcare & Education and is working towards a Level 3 qualification. She has been working in early years since 2012.
Our staffing ratios are 1:4 for all children between 2-3 years and 1:8 for all children 3 years plus.
We operate a Key-Person system in the nursery. A member of staff is allocated to both you and your child to ensure a consistent approach to your child’s development.
