Fees & Funding

The Early Years Single Funding Formula / Free Entitlement

Each child can claim up to a maximum of 15 hours per week free entitlement for 38 weeks of the year from the term after his/her third birthday. To make the claim the child must be registered and present at the pre-school during ‘headcount week’ and have provided the pre-school with all required documentation requested by the Pre-School Manager. Parents do not receive funding and there is no monetary value associated with free entitlement.

Our free entitlement sessions are available for 38 weeks of the year and delivered over three terms Autumn, Spring, and Summer. The sessions are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 12:00 noon or 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.These sessions are offered subject to availability and are reviewed on a term by term basis. To claim the maximum entitlement of 15 hours, a child would need to attend 5 Afternoon sessions over 5 days. The free entitlement covers up to 15 hours per week for 38 weeks (over three terms) per year and does not cover hours outside of our free entitlement hours or other chargeable items that the Pre-school provides.

The free entitlement is allocated over 38 weeks to ensure ease of payments by direct debits and standing orders. Parents leaving or amending their schedule may result in monies owed to the pre-school.

Our pre-school is open 38 weeks of the year and we offer other sessions apart from free entitlement. Parents are liable to pay Wrap Around Care Fees charged on a sessional basis in the same way our regular fees are charged for additional hours and services provided outside of the Free Entitlement. Wrap Around Care Fees include all services provided outside of the free entitlement sessions. See the Wrap Around Care Fee sheet. Wrap around Care Fees are in line with the free entitlement code of practice.

Wrap Around Care Fees are due in advance on the 1st of day of the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms and on the first day of October, November, February, March, May and June. Fees are calculated by the number of sessions booked per week multiplied by 38 weeks in the year and divided by 9 months.
